I fear living with the deaths of others more.
This. So much.

I totally accept death and in fact -- warning: this may sound weird and creepy so read at your own discretion -- I always say that when my time comes, that it would be awesome to have one epic death like being shot in the middle of a fight between the mafia and the police and bleeding to death as I crawl my way out, or be eaten by some animal outside. Something with a lot of action and intensity would be my favorite way to pass away. Just to really go out with a bang. Or maybe I'm just watching too many horror movies lately, so don't mind me. :p
But still, death is something that doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I'm going to do what I can to remain healthy and active for as long as possible, and hope that I can live a long, happy life like everyone wants to... but I'm always very aware that death is inevitable and therefore the only thing that truly worries me about it is having to witness the death of the people I love.

You had me at the mafia/police death and lost me at the eaten by an animal outside death. ^_^

I've never really thought about how I specifically want to die. I just hope I'm happy with how my life turned out by then.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah it would be cool to go out saving the world or something fantastic like that, a proud death. But it's unlikely that something like that will happen with you >_<

I think when people peacefully die though, unless it's in their sleep they feel nothing but fear and just put on an act to make it less hard on you. So really...I'm scared of the fear of death :D or rather the fear that will come about when my own death is minutes away. It must be so terrible to feel yourself fade away, even if it's not painful.

There's just so much you would miss out on in death, the next day something you wanted your whole life could be invented for all you know and it's just...urgh, it's frustrating to think about just not even being able to go for a walk ever again. It's such an empty thing.

Hahahah  Don't judge me :'(

You raise another very important point though, when I die I really hope I'm at peace with the choices I've made in my life and that I can feel like I enjoyed it and made the most of it. Feeling like you wasted your life has got to be the worst feeling ever.

My great grandma was 89 when she died in her sleep about 4 or so years ago. I think she told my mum that she'd lived a long life and actually wanted to die. She wasn't ill or anything -- she died peacefully in her sleep -- but it was basically having an energetic mind in a weakening body. I think I would hate that, so when it comes to really old people I can see why they would invite death with open arms.

ya forril. it's old and cheesy but i like that thing a lot of old people say: you tend to regret the things you don't do rather than the things you do do (lol doo doo)

Yo

I always thought I was scared of death, though the other day I was talking to someone and she was going on about how we're not terribly far off immortality through the use of putting our own consciousness into a computer of sorts.

That disturbed me greatly and I'm not quite sure why.

I accepted death when I started being suicidal my sophomore year of high school. When you think about taking your own life, you kind of realize that you're going to die and come to death face to face. Since I obviously didn't kill myself (or did I O.o), I'll probably meet death as an old friend when I do die.
